餵養篇：

貓咪是肉食性動物，特別適應於消耗高蛋白質，適量脂肪及少許纖維的飲食，依靠肉類的營養物來滿足牠特定的需求，而碳水化合物並不是貓咪主要營養來源。野外貓科動物都只會透過獵物的消化道殘留的消化物吸收到少量碳水化合物(一般只佔1-2%)。最理想是給貓咪吃罐頭類濕糧或凍乾生肉(乾糧只是方便人類)，另外增加貓咪水分同減少碳水化合物的吸收。假如有種種因素令你不能全面餵食濕糧，那麼請盡量選擇無穀而又低碳水化合物的乾貓糧，不要超過20%，最好是少於10%，以乾糧餵食要特別留意貓咪飲水是否足夠。

乾糧/凍乾/濕糧均可依照以下營養比例表為貓貓選擇合適的糧食：

蛋白質

幼貓建議40%以上 35%以下相對碳水化合物高，對所有貓貓都不太理想

碳水化合物

10％以下理想

11-20%可接受

20-25%勉強接受

25%以上不建議

脂肪

15%以下要考慮，因脂肪不足會影響毛皮健康

纖維

只需少量，由於難消化，多於5%容易影響胃腸道

 

Shining Snow Cattery主採用西班牙Natural Greatness 全貓糧、新西蘭Meow 凍乾生肉及汪喵、Astkatta濕糧罐頭混合喂飼法🙌🏻

 

我們選擇Natural Greatness 雞肉/火雞全貓糧（6kg)因為它採用了天然蛋白質如雞肉/火雞等成份，小貓們和貓爸媽能更有效攝取營養蛋白。此外，全貓糧可一直由個半月大吃至成貓，免卻小貓們在成長期中再由幼貓糧過渡至成貓糧。

 

Shining Snow Cattery 的小貓1.5-6個月大會採用長糧放飼，以提供足夠營養給幼貓，6個月大後家長可自行選擇長糧餵飼/定時定量餵飼。

 

*長糧可有效地持續為小貓提供營養

*定時定量，可減低小貓挑食情況，及有效地控制體重

 

如家長們想為小貓轉換其他品牌乾糧，務必採用乾糧成份表旁的7天轉糧法，以協助小貓健康地過渡轉糧期。

凍乾生肉糧：

凍乾為生肉原料，與乾糧預先製作的方式不同，因此小貓們需要更多時間消化生肉（5小時消化時間）。

 

為免小貓出現消化不良情況，我們採用乾糧及凍乾分開餵飼～凍乾需在餵飼乾糧後0.5-1小時後再餵，早晚各一次的凍乾餵食～

 

我們絕對建議家長們可全凍乾餵飼，減少餵飼乾糧比例😊生肉對小貓的腸胃比較合適，碳水比例較低，便便因此亦會比較穩定。如全凍乾餵飼，建議定時定量餵食，因凍乾會加水浸泡，香港潮濕天氣會影響品質，容易產生變壞。

 

Meow 凍乾口味：

牛/羊/鹿/三文魚/鴨/負鼠

 

濕糧罐頭：

在濕糧罐頭方面，我們選擇了台灣汪喵和Astkatta 冰島罐為幼貓及貓爸媽提供營養。全濕糧餵飼下，成貓一天大約可消耗三個80 g罐頭🙌🏻

營養品：

除了主食吸取不同食物營養，我們亦會為小貓們提供額外營養補充，主要有：益生菌/Lysine/牛礦酸/生命膠囊/護疫升/排毛粉

增進腸內菌叢品質，促進腸胃蠕動，使排便穩定正常，並加入酵素，針對貓咪飲食，幫助消化。

可3個月大開始使用，用科學排毛的專業排毛粉，不只單純添加各種專利纖維與酵素排毛，且是真正破解「水溶性纖維 與 非水溶纖維 黃金比例」的排毛粉

 

零食：

我們平常多用simpleit純雞胸/汪喵虱目魚/meow凍乾為零食，甚少用日本品牌（添加物較多）

 

日常護理篇：

驅蟲：

小貓們6個月大前，自2個月大起每月會驅蟲一次，當中包括體內驅蟲及體外驅蝨。自6個月大開始，可每2-3個月做一次體外及體內驅蟲：

剪指甲：

小貓們可每2-3星期剪一次指甲

刷牙：

我們選擇使用汪喵的牙齒護理酵素噴霧，可以消除口腔異味、幫助控制牙垢，每天噴/沾一次在貓貓牙齒。

 

洗耳：

每2-3星期可為貓貓洗耳一次。如貓貓耳道健康，不應太常清潔。日常可用濕紙巾為小貓表面耳道清潔。

 

皮膚/毛髮：

小貓日常會自行清潔皮膚表面皮髮及梳理，家長們可每天梳毛一次，能有效地幫小貓去除廢毛，配合食用生命膠囊能促進毛髮生長。

小貓每天飲食後，可用濕紙巾清潔面部下巴，防止黑下巴生粉刺（過多油脂分泌）出現。

日常如有皮膚損傷，可使用皮膚軟膏/神仙水，每日塗抹2-3次

日常可用剃毛機剃肉墊之間的毛，避免滋生細菌/跣親。同時可剃一剃patpat旁邊的毛，防止毛太長粘到便便。

 

日常環境清潔篇：

家長們可使用次氯酸/橙威寶/法國製造TH4洗地消毒，不可以用漂白水會中毒。

貓咪碗碟可用汪喵洗碗酵素/本地香港品牌Fluffy hand /光能淨。

貓砂兜需每月一次大清洗，平時可用防粘噴霧噴在貓砂盆上防止貓咪便便尿尿粘在貓砂兜上難以清潔。

 

絕育篇：

絕育手術可預防多項潛在疾病，而且小貓不用再受荷爾蒙影響而發情變瘦，會肥一點和毛色都會變漂亮。此外，油脂分泌不會再這麼旺盛，不容易生粉刺黑下巴或者油尾。

 

男孩子：

建議11-12月大時去做絕育手術，以提供足夠時間給予小貓泌尿系統生長，以防日後出現尿道過窄的風險。男孩子發情時會亂屙尿，如有這情況需立即做絕育手術，否則亂屙尿行為可延續至絕育後。

 

女孩子：

建議6-8個月大嘅時候去做絕育手術。女孩子發情會日夜大叫，但不會像狗女般來月經。

 

洗澡篇：

貓咪洗澡可以分為自行幫貓咪在家洗/去竉物美容室/請美容師上門洗

 

  1. 自行幫貓咪洗澡：首先要準備好浴盆/去油膏/竉物沐浴露/梳/烘乾機，要注意事情包括：洗澡前先梳順毛髮、不要清洗貓咪面部眼睛鼻哥位置、不要直接用花灑沖洗貓咪（最好開水在浴盆）、不要用太大聲的風筒（盡量使用烘乾機方便快捷）
  2. 去竉物美容室：價錢大約$500-700，要注意貓咪外出會否應激，如有可能美容師上門/自行幫貓咪洗澡比較好

Feeding Guide

#### **Dietary Needs of Cats**
- Cats are **obligate carnivores**, meaning their diet is primarily high in **protein**, moderate in **fat**, and contains a small amount of **fiber**. They rely on nutrients from meat to meet their specific needs, and **carbohydrates** are not a primary source of nutrition for cats. 
- Wild cats only consume small amounts of carbohydrates through partially digested food in the digestive tracts of their prey (typically 1–2%).
- The ideal diet includes **wet canned food** or **freeze-dried raw food** rather than dry kibble (which is more for human convenience). Wet food increases hydration and reduces carbohydrate intake.
- If feeding only wet food is not feasible, choose **grain-free, low-carbohydrate dry food**. The carbohydrate content should not exceed **20%**, and ideally, it should be **below 10%**. Ensure that your cat drinks enough water if fed dry food.

Nutritional Ratios for Cat Food
- **Protein**:
  - For kittens, **40%+** is ideal.
  - Below 35% protein usually means higher carbohydrates, which is not ideal for any cat.
- **Carbohydrates**:
  - Below **10%**: Ideal.
  - **11–20%**: Acceptable.
  - **20–25%**: Barely acceptable.
  - Above **25%**: Not recommended.
- **Fat**:
  - Below **15%**: Insufficient fat may affect coat health.
- **Fiber**:
  - Only a small amount is needed. More than **5%** may cause digestive issues.

Food Recommendations at Shining Snow Cattery
We primarily use a combination of:
- **Natural Greatness (Spain)** dry cat food.
- **Meow (New Zealand)** freeze-dried raw food.
- **Wang Meow** and **Astkatta** wet canned food.

**Dry Food**:
For kittens, we recommend **Natural Greatness Chicken/Turkey All-Life Stages Cat Food (6kg)**. This food uses natural protein sources like chicken and turkey, ensuring kittens and adult cats get sufficient nutrition. This all-life stage formula eliminates the need to transition from kitten food to adult food during growth.  

- **Protein**: 43.8% (36% kcal)  
- **Carbohydrates**: 24.5% (20% kcal)  
- **Fat**: 22.4% (44% kcal)  
- **Fiber**: 1.6%

**Feeding Method**:  
- For kittens aged **1.5–6 months**, we use **free feeding** to ensure they get enough nutrients.  
- After **6 months**, pet parents can choose between **free feeding** or **scheduled feeding**.  
  - **Free Feeding**: Provides consistent nutrition.  
  - **Scheduled Feeding**: Helps reduce picky eating habits and aids in weight management.

#### **Freeze-Dried Raw Food (Meow)**:
- Freeze-dried raw food is made from raw meat and takes longer to digest (about **5 hours**).  
- To avoid digestive issues, feed **freeze-dried food** 30 minutes to 1 hour after feeding dry food. Feed twice daily in the morning and evening.  

**Flavors**: Beef / Lamb / Venison / Salmon / Duck / Possum

#### **Wet Food (Canned Food)**:  
We recommend **Wang Meow (Taiwan)** and **Astkatta (Iceland)** wet food.  
- Adult cats consuming only wet food may eat about **three 80g cans** per day.  
- Wet food is used as a **supplementary meal** to provide a variety of nutrients.

Supplements:
- **Probiotics**: Improves gut health, promotes digestion, and stabilizes bowel movements.  
- **Lysine**: Supports respiratory health.  
- **Taurine**: Essential for eye, brain, heart, and nervous system health.  
- **Life Capsules**: Promotes shiny, healthy coats.  
- **Immune Boosters**: Maintains immunity and overall health.  
- **Hairball Powder**: Can be used from **3 months old** to aid in safe and effective hairball elimination.

Daily Care Guide：

#### **Deworming**:
- From **2 months old**, deworm once a month for both internal and external parasites.  
- After **6 months**, deworm every 2–3 months.  
- We use **Selapro/Aristopet** (Australian brands) with the same active ingredients as Revolution and Drontal.

Nail Trimming：
- Trim nails every 2–3 weeks.

Dental Care：
- Use **Wang Meow dental enzyme spray** daily to reduce bad breath and control tartar.

#### **Ear Cleaning**:
- Clean ears every 2–3 weeks. Only clean surface areas unless there’s a medical issue.

---

Skin & Fur Maintenance：
- Brush your kitten’s coat daily to remove loose fur.  
- Clean their face and chin with a wet wipe after meals to prevent **black chin acne** caused by excess oil.  
- Use **ointment** for minor skin injuries.  
- Trim the fur between their paw pads to prevent bacteria and assist with grip.

Sterilization Guide：

- **Male Cats**: Recommended at **11–12 months old** to allow the urinary system to fully develop and reduce the risk of a narrow urethra. Early sterilization can also stop marking behavior.  
- **Female Cats**: Recommended at **6–8 months old**. Female cats in heat will meow loudly but do not experience bleeding like dogs.

Bathing

- **At Home**: Prepare a basin, degreasing paste, pet shampoo, brush, and dryer. Avoid spraying water directly on the face and use a quiet dryer.  
- **Pet Grooming Salon**: Costs range from **$500–700 HKD**. Be cautious of stress from travel.  
- **Mobile Grooming Service**: Contact **Happy Gor Gor** at 97897726.

Cleaning Your Home
- Use **hypochlorous acid**, **Orange Guard**, or **TH4** disinfectant. Avoid bleach, as it is toxic to cats.  
- Wash bowls with enzyme-based cleaners like Wang Meow or Fluffy Hand.  
- Clean litter boxes thoroughly once a month and use anti-stick sprays to prevent residue buildup.
